When I first learned that 1 in 3 American families struggle to provide diapers for their babies, my mind was absolutely blown.
As the Mother of two beautiful children, I couldn’t imagine not having the means to buy diapers. The simple things that you and I may take for granted, are so valued by others in need.
I was compelled to do something but didn’t know how I could help. With such staggering statistics, anyone you know could be facing this dilemma.
I recently found out that Huggies® and Walgreens have partnered with the National Diaper Bank Network so I decided to go there to purchase my Son’s diapers this time. I figured, I buy these diapers anyway, so why not donate to a great cause in the process?
From March 26 through April 29, any purchase of Huggies® diapers at Walgreens or Walgreens.com triggers a donation of a day’s worth of diapers to a family in need. With your help, Huggies and Walgreens will donate 1.5 million diapers and 250,000 wipes nationwide to the National Diaper Bank Network.
My little guy, Robert, is turning 4 months old in just 3 days! I cannot imagine not having the means to provide something as seemingly simple as diapers. It breaks my heart to know that others are struggling so I have decided to spread the word about Walgreens and Huggies.
Next time you’re heading to the store to purchase diapers, consider stopping at your local walgreens and picking up some diapers. You’ll be happy you did!
