OK, maybe not drenched, let’s go with drizzled instead. Lately, my husband and I have been trying to get healthier by eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains. Now, that doesn’t mean we don’t like to let loose once in a while and have some cake and ice cream (and no not the healthy kind), It means that we try our very best to eat healthy the majority of the time.
We are absolutely bombarded with chemicals from the air we breath, water we drink, electro-magnetic chaos we’re exposed to, and of course, the food we eat. So, the best way to combat this is to eat whole, raw foods as much as we can. However, everything should be enjoyed in moderation and in balance with everything else so It’s OK to enjoy that pumpkin pie you have sitting in your fridge, just don’t make it a habit.
One of the easiest ways to eat better is to consume 1-3 salads per day as a meal or in addition to your meal. Although this is something I have been trying to do for years, I never really enjoyed it. That’s because, I genuinely dislike most vegetables including leafy greens (shocking I know). It’s also because I never really knew which type of salad dressing to buy that wasn’t filled with sodium and/or preservatives. I would end up using just lemon and salt to season my salads…how boring!
Lately, I decided that if i was going to eat more salads, I needed to enjoy them, dammit. After trial and error, and lot’s of wasted ingredients, I finally found my top 5 go-to salad dressings which are clean, delicious, and most importantly, super easy to whip up.

3. Sweet Asian ginger salad dressing. I had to play around with this recipe a few times but I believe I finally got it right.
4. The BEST healthy Greek salad dressing. Since I already love most Greek foods including their salads, I needed to find a dressing that was lowfat, and tasted amazing. I believe I’ve found it!
5. Zesty healthy Italian salad dressing. Who doesn’t love Italian food? Growing up in Toronto, I had many Italian friends and enjoyed their cuisine including their sauces and dressings. I always tried to recreate the salad dressing myself but wasn’t successful…until now.
